Public Records Act Requests

Certain documents created and maintained by the City of Pacifica are available to the general public. The City of Pacifica has recently switched to a new system called NextRequest in order to process public records requests more effectively.  NextRequest allows members of the public to create an account and log in to our portal to view your request, messages, and any documents that have been released.  You may find the records you are seeking by searching previous requests made through the NextRequest Public Records Request Portal.

2021 Holiday Closure Information

City Hall will be closed December 23, 2021 - December 31, 2021. Please note that Requests received during this closure will be deemed received by the City Clerk’s Office on the next business day of January 3, 2022Click here for complete information on the Holiday Closure.


Processing Public Records Requests

When you submit your first request through the portal, you will be prompted to set up an account.  This will allow the City of Pacifica to more efficiently respond to and provide records to you through the NextRequest portal.  You will be contacted by email through the Portal concerning whether or not the city is in possession of your requested documents and if they are subject to public disclosure.
