Building Maintenance

The Pacifica building maintenance division keeps city facilities clean, safe and functional. The division is responsible for the maintenance of all city-owned facilities, including city hall, the police station, fire stations, planning offices, engineering offices, child care buildings and parks, beaches & recreation offices.

The custodial staff is responsible for the cleaning of city buildings. Typical tasks include vacuuming, emptying trash receptacles, cleaning restrooms, mopping floors and cleaning windows.

Building maintenance specialists are responsible for repairs and modifications to city facilities. Typical tasks include servicing and repairing HVAC systems, painting, electrical installation and repair, lock installation and repair, plumbing installation and repair, and roof repairs.
