Recreation Classes and Activity Guide

The City of Pacifica Parks, Beaches, and Recreation has an activity to offer for almost any interest and skill level. Hone your skateboarding, pilates, or dancing skills. Embark on exciting adventures with us by joining Summer Adventure Camp or learn how to surf the waves at Linda Mar Beach with one of our Surf Camps. Have fun while you improve your talents with a favorite hobby or join a league for friendly competitive play. If the kids need swimming lessons, or the teenagers a safe and exciting way to socialize, then don't worry, we have something for everyone in your family!

Please check back soon for our future Playbook offerings.

Are you skilled in some hobby and would like to teach a class to the public? Have a talent you would like to share? Are you trained to teach a certain type of exercise class? Interested in teaching something that is not already offered? We are always looking for new class ideas and you can become a contract instructor with the City of Pacifica's Parks, Beaches and Recreation Dept. There are a few requirements:

  • You must provide certification of your training and references
  •  If you are teaching minors under 18, you do need to get fingerprinted through the Pacifica Police Dept.
  • Also, you need to have a Pacifica business license, unless you are not teaching your class in Pacifica.
  • We pay you a percentage of the class fees. It depends on if you have your own facility or teach out of your home or if you need to use our Community Center. Availability of times and days for classes at the Community Center is limited. Currently, the Community Center is not available for classes on weekends unless you rent the building.

Call the Parks, Beaches and Recreation Dept. for more information, 650-738-7378.
